For nearly twenty years, audiences in the Treasure Valley and from Kentucky to California have filled venues to hear the regionally-popular Chicken Dinner Road (CDR) bluegrass band. Winner of the first three Weiser bluegrass band contests, CDR retired from competition but has returned to Weiser many times. On Saturday evening, February 8, CDR will donate an evening performance of hot traditional and contemporary bluegrass at Bee Tree Folk School in Weiser to support the continued restoration of Slocum Hall at the historic Intermountain Institute.
CDR also will host a workshop in the afternoon of February 8 at Bee Tree ,“How to be a Great Band Member.” This workshop will share our combined stage experience of over 200 years with pointers on what to do, and not do, to maximize your public performance.
